About The Author

Maryann Roefaro is a highly intuitive spiritual mentor and well-respected leader in the Central New York Community. Dedicating her career to healthcare, she retired after 45 years of experience, over 35 of which included executive leadership positions. Spending 23 years as the CEO of Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, she retired in February of 2025.

Maryann believes that every relationship we have begins with the relationship we have with ourselves. Committed to her own self-mastery journey, her motto is to help make the world a better place, one person at a time, from the inside-out. With this intention in her heart, Transitions of Hope is her fourth publication, the others being, Building the Team from the Inside-Out, A Human’s Purpose by Millie the Dog, and Snippets from the Inside-Out by Millie the Dog. She maintains an active role in leadership and spiritual development through various speaking engagements and her podcast, Transitions of Hope.

Maryann received a Doctor of Divinity degree from the American Institute of Holistic Theology, a Master of Science degree from Upstate Medical University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Albany College of Pharmacy. She is an ordained minister through Metaphysical Universal Ministries, a certified Heart Centered Hypnotherapist, a Reiki Master/Teacher and a certified ChiRunning/ChiWalking instructor. Maryann has served and continues to serve on many community boards, including many non-profit organizations. She is the co-founder of CancerConnects, Inc. and to date, remains the organization’s Board President.

Maryann is married to Tom Carranti and has two daughters, two step-sons, and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Two precious souls that have captured Maryann’s hearts for all eternity are Mille and Bella. Millie is a mini poodle, and Bella is a medium labradoodle. They are beautiful souls whose unconditional love bring her great joy and peace. Bella was Maryann’s former husband Dale Franz’s pup and she was blessed to adopt her during his illness and transition to the realm of pure love.
